Louisville, NE

Platte River State Park RV
HIGHLIGHTS:
Platte River State Park: The state parks in Nebraska are stunning! There is so much to do; playgrounds, hiking galore, splash pad, daily activities for kiddos, a snack bar, fishing and boating.
Louisville State Recreation Center: This park has a bounce house obstacle course over the lake. My kids had a blast! Make sure you check the time slots, as there are only a few each day.
Wildlife Safari Park: Literally two minutes down the road, you’ll find this nature sanctuary. For a minimal fee, you can drive through amazing habitats and see bison, elk, bald eagles, bears, wolves, deer and more.
DAY TRIP IDEAS:
Omaha: Less than an hour away, you can find restaurants, shopping malls and everything a large city has to offer.
SHOULD I HAVE KNOWN:
The RV park in the Platte River State Park doesn’t have much shade. I would have rather stayed at the Louisville State Recreation Center, where the trees are more mature and there is a beach connected to the lake.
